Michael LoBue MA, CSCS, RKC, USAW
Mike has 15 years of coaching and strength and conditioning experience. He was most recently the co-head coach for the San Diego State Track & Field Team while also serving as the team’s strength and conditioning coach. He is currently on the national staff for The International Pole Vault Summit where he has been a speaker and developmental coach for the last 14 years. He also worked as an assistant track coach at the University of Utah, Fresno State, and the University of Nebraska as well as Golden West High School.
Many of Mike’s athletes have excelled while working with him. At the 2008 USA Olympic Trials for Track & Field, Mike coached four athletes—three in the pole vault and one in the shot put. Mike relishes the challenge of training people and enabling them to exceed their expectations. He is passionate about finding the right way to inspire, motivate, and help each individual achieve their specific fitness and performance goals. Athletes and clients appreciate his straight-forward approach to training and his commitment to the individual.
Mike is a NSCA certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and USA Weightlifting Level 1 Olympic Weightlifting Club Coach. He has a master’s degree in Psychosocial Aspects of Sport from the University of Utah. He is also a Russian Kettlebell Certified Instructor (RKC).
